Time to meditate

Time to meditate

December is coming to an end, but at the same time, a new year is beginning and with it revives the hope for better tings to come.

The whole world is rejoicing at the birth of the year 2010, and the carnival doesn’t stop just there… some are celebrating in a secular manner, while others do it more spiritually inclined. Any way you choose to practice celebration and give honors to this date, the festivity is very much alive.

This is the right moment to remember our triumphs & achievements throughout the year, and as well as to simultaneously consider our losses & defeats.

This is also the time to recollect out moments of happiness and weepiness, so that we can stop to meditate and realize that such laughter is what makes us respect weepiness; and such tears are what make us appreciate the pleasantness of being amused.

This is the last week
of the first decade of this millennium

This period might just mean to be another year for many, but to those of us AfroDescendants really in touch with our ancestral and spiritual roots, it symbolizes a special transition date, towards a new stage of learning and life experience in which we synchronize our mind and body with our ancestors and all those whom have transcended in matter.

It is not necessary to go to a church or an established temple in order to publicly show some kind of devotion; it’s just enough if at any give time during the day –no matter where we are– we remember all of our people with an affectionate approach and thank our ancestors for the guidance they impart in our lives, in addition to the tests and obstacles they leave in our way, because they only make us stronger.

I also take advantage of this moment to extend my most sincere greetings to all those who week after week have had the patience and kindness to grant me with such valuable minutes of their time, in order to read not only what I write, but every other article published in Barûle Gazette – (http://www.BaruleGazette.com).

In the name of Barûle Gazette and with the blessing of our ancestors, I whish each and every one of our readers, friends, family members and their respective families a new year full of happiness and great harvest.

!Axé to you all and yours!
